1. What action will UAB take regarding the July 1 Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) changes now the courts have vacated the decision?

  • Employees whose positions shifted from exempt to nonexempt on July 1, 2024, will return to their pre-July exempt status effective January 12, 2025. 
  • Those who received pay grade or salary increases in July will keep their current grades and salaries. These adjustments will not be reversed.
