At what age can I retire from Teachers' Retirement System (TRS)?

Teachers’ Retirement Systems (TRS) service retirement requirements are listed below: 


If you are a Tier 1 employee, you must have at least 10 years of creditable service with Teachers’ Retirement Systems (TRS) and be 60 years of age, or have 25 years of creditable service with Teachers’ Retirement Systems (TRS) at any age.  


If you are a Tier 2 employee, you must have at least 10 years of creditable service with Teachers’ Retirement Systems (TRS) and be 62 years of age.
