What does paid on the extra payroll mean?

The extra payrolls are designed for payments that did not make it in time for regular payrolls. The exception is retro pay increases. Retro pay increases are not paid on the extra payrolls. Retro pay is only paid on regular payrolls. 


The extra biweekly payroll is on Thursday after the regular biweekly pay day on Friday. The extra monthly payroll is typically around the middle of the month.
