What is a BlazerID?
The BlazerID is your unique identifier. It is an essential part of life at UAB. This is a computer login name that the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has deployed campus-wide. Whether you are faculty, student or staff, you have a unique BlazerID. You will use your BlazerID to access several computer systems and benefits.

Why do I need a BlazerID?
Most major administrative systems and academic online services on the UAB Campus now require that you have a BlazerID. Examples for employees are self-service HR access to your benefit information, updating direct deposit, and W-4 information. You will use your BlazerID to log into UAB applications including Oracle HR and Finance, several departments and networks. How do I get a BlazerID?
Go to the BlazerID Central site. BlazerID is managed by UAB's Information Technology Department (IT). They have created a website for all things BlazerID. This is the place you go to set up your BlazerID, to resolve password issues and for all questions related to BlazerID. Contact information for BlazerID is here.
