Employees who wish to enroll in one of UAB's healthcare plans may do so within 31 days of their hire date, rehire date or the effective date of a qualifying event. Qualified employees are eligible for coverage under UAB's healthcare (medical, dental and vision) plans on their date of hire or status change.
