Are Irregular/Temporary employees eligible for FMLA?

Employees should apply for FMLA to determine if they meet eligibility requirements. Employees are eligible for FMLA leave if they have worked at the UAB for at least 12 months and they have worked at least 1,250 hours in the 12 months immediately preceding the commencement of the leave.
