How is intermittent leave time tracked?

Intermittent time can be tracked in Kronos or eLAS by the employee, time editor, or supervisor. It is the department’s responsibility to ensure all the time away from work while on intermittent leave is tracked accordingly. The time taken will count toward the total time allowed for leave under FMLA regulations.

The maximum time allowed is 12 work weeks for family-related reasons and when medically necessary for the employee’s health condition. The amount of leave allowed per year is based on a “rolling” 12-month period measured backward from the date an employee uses any family-related leave.

An ACT Document is not needed for tracking intermittent leave.
